Composer Philip Klein Wins Emmy Award!

We are very proud to announce that Philip Klein has won an Emmy Award for his work on Hangar No. 5. The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Foundation awarded Phil in the category of Best Composition at its 30th Annual College Television Awards. The ceremony, hosted by Dancing with the Stars' Tom Bergeron, took place last night at Culver Studios in Culver City, California. These awards honor the top student filmmakers across the United States, and Phil is extremely honored to have been recognized.

Hangar No. 5 to Screen at Beverly Hills Short Film Festival

HN5 is thrilled to have its first festival screening in the United States! The film will play as part of the Beverly Hills Short Film Festival's Sci-Fi program. If you live in the Los Angeles area, the festival is a great way to not only see Hangar No. 5, but some other great short films too!

 

Date: Sunday, March 1st
Time: 4:30 PM
Location: Fine Arts Theatre, 8556 Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills

Hangar No. 5 Earns VES Nomination

We are very pleased to announce that Hangar No. 5 and Director Nathan Matsuda have received a nomination for Outstanding Effects in a Student Project at the 7th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards.  These awards honor the top of the industry in visual effects and it is a great honor for Nathan to be nominated.

The winners will be announced at a gala awards ceremony to be held on the evening of February 21, 2009 at the Century Plaza Ballroom, Century City in Los Angeles. Congratulations again to Nathan and the entire visual effects team of Hangar No. 5!

 
Hangar No. 5 Wins Best Short Film!

This past weekend we were honored with the Suzanne Award for Best Short Film at the 2008 Blender Conference Animation Festival in Amsterdam!  Hangar No. 5 beat a very strong field of competitors to take home the top prize.  We're incredibly grateful to the Blender community for the honor and support they have shown us.

Hangar No. 5 Premiered!

HN5 premiered on June 7, 2008 and we were very excited by the audience reaction. Although it has not yet been released officially, we are currently submitting to festivals and hope to show it in a city near you shortly. Please check back for updates!

The brand-new Hangar No. 5 trailer premiered this morning at the 34th annual Dance Marathon, a fund-raiser at Northwestern University to support pediatric cancer research. Accompanying the trailer was video from our lead actor, Talan Torriero, encouraging the dancers.
